NEW DANCE SEASON - THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

South Fargo Just For Kix classes will begin a new dance season in September!  Monday classes will begin on Monday, Sept. 13 and Tuesday classes will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 7.  Click on "Classes" on the pink bar at the top of this page to see class times.  If you have forgotten which night you signed up for, please email me your child's first AND last name and what grade she is in and I will get right back to you.

Please be sure that your dancer is appropriately attired for class.  Dancers should wear jazz pants, shorts, leggings, leotards, etc.  Clothing should be easy to move comfortably in and not too baggy (baggy clothing keeps instructors from being able to see body lines).  Dancers MUST wear tennis shoes or ballet shoes to class.  NO BARE FEET OR STOCKING FEET!  Also, no boots or sandals.  This is a safety issue, so dancers coming without the appropriate shoes will not be allowed to dance.  We will start sizing dancers for shoes at class.  If you have pre-paid for shoes, your child will get sized first.   BALLET SHOES CANNOT BE ORDERED UNTIL I RECEIVE THE $15.50 FOR THEM!

UNIFORMS  are shipped to me and handed out at class.  It is important that you try the uniform on as soon as you get it.  If any piece does not fit, return that piece to me at class.  Returns must be in a bag with the invoice or a piece of paper with your child's first AND last names and whether they need a smaller or larger size.  If you have not yet ordered a uniform, you will need to do that right away!  It can take up to 10 weeks to manufacture a uniform!  UNIFORM ORDERS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY FULL PAYMENT!

Dancers should bring a water bottle to class each week.  Please be sure you put WATER ONLY in the bottle!  It is the most hydrating drink for your child.  Colored drinks will stain the floor if spilled, so please do not send them to class.  Also, please make sure your child uses the restroom BEFORE class starts!  Thanks!

PLEASE LABEL YOUR DANCER'S BALLET SHOES, WATER BOTTLES, JACKETS, ETC!

All classes are held at Carl Ben Eielson Middle School, 1601 13th Ave. S. Please park  in the lot on the west side of CBE Middle School  (turn onto  16 St. S. to enter the lot).   Go to the north end of the lot and follow the sidewalk along the chain link fence to the glass doors.  These are the doors we are to use to enter and exit the building each week.  Other doors into the building may be locked!  This is a safety issue meant to keep our kids safe.

DIRECTOR OF THE YEAR!

Directors Convention 2010

            On August 8-10th, Shauna Larson attended the annual Just For Kix Directors Training Convention which was held in Brainerd, Mn. At the convention the Directors take several dance classes, learn current teaching techniques, motivation, program changes, new technique combinations, and much more.  The Directors also attend an annual awards banquet, where they are honored with outstanding achievements within their program. 

           Shauna was awarded the prestigious Veteran Director of the year Award.  She was selected from all Directors in their 6^th or more years of service  who are excelling in all areas; organization, evaluations, client loyalty, involvement in different aspects of the company and overall quality of the program.

             Shauna Larson is the Director of the local program in South Fargo.  Just For Kix is based in Brainerd, Mn and has been offering children’s dance team classes since 1981.  For more information regarding Just For Kix contact Shauna at 218-498-2297.
