Just For Kix

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A DIFFERENT KIND OF DANCE EXPERIENCE?
If you are looking for lots of glitz, shimmer, make-up, bright lights, expensive costumes and classes, you won’t find any of that here. Sorry! Just For Kix focuses on providing nurturing dance classes for kids of all ages at an affordable rate. Our uniforms do sparkle, but it’s our dancers that SHINE!

We are so excited you’ve decided to stop by and take a look at what great things we offer kids from our community and surrounding areas. You will love our dance program. If you’re not sure, we challenge you to come and try a class for free to see what you think. Most kids cannot wait to come back!

  • Respect, respect, respect. Your child matters to us no matter what! We treat all dancers the same and improve them through praise and support.
  • We require only one uniform/costume per year, per class. Our classes perform multiple times per season, some being large-scale events. A dancer’s uniform will be used 4-6 times throughout the dance season and are $50-100. Just For Kix is a conservative company, so our uniforms are tastefully done and are flattering to all body types. They come fully finished - you may need to hem pants, if applicable. Note: Many times, because of the large Just For Kix network, your used uniform can be sold to dancers in other communities within the seven-state area.
  • Choreography: Our choreography is what built our business. It is creative and innovative. DID WE MENTION FUN??? That is the NUMBER ONE ingredient. Our classes are fast paced and fun. We have great music and great instructors.
  • Classes: Classes meet once a week. We offer 32 classes throughout the dance season which runs September through April. Some months may have less or more than four classes, but please note that by the end of April we will have had 32 classes.
  • Performances: Dancers will perform approximately 4-6 times throughout the season. Performances may include Winter Show, nursing homes, Community Show, Spring Show, Competitions (4th-12th) and other events in the community. Our performance season will begin in December. It is very important that dancers attend classes and performances faithfully! All dancers are expected to treat instructors and fellow dancers with respect. Dance team requires teamwork!
  • Competitions: Older classes compete in a “low pressure” environment. We don’t believe that competition is the end-all, be-all, but we do know that, if it’s done correctly, it can be a wonderful experience for dancers. Just For Kix hosts its own nationwide events, which the Bemidji program has done very well at. Please note that we do not allow our youngest dancers to compete - our competitions are for 4th grade dancers and older.
  • We are ORGANIZED. We get it done! Class time is maximized so every minute is utilized, which turns out to be a great workout for every dancer. We know our method and we know it well, and it works! You’ll be pleasantly surprised at how much we can accomplish in one class.
  • We start on time and end on time.
  • We have FUN. Your child will enjoy her dance experience, learn a lot, make new friends and just feel good about dancing. That IS what it’s all about!
