Just For Kix - Blaine/NW Suburban Area Dance

The Blaine Just For Kix Program serves the areas of: Blaine, Ham Lake, Coon Rapids, Anoka, Andover, Champlin and others.

ABOUT JUST FOR KIX:  Here at Just for Kix we feel that it’s important for young dancers to interact and learn as a team. Team based dance provides new and existing dancers with an opportunity to have fun while learning and growing as a group. We want our program to be a place where dancers feel valued and cherished.  Our philosophy has always been to treat dancers, as we would want our own children to be treated. 

We offer precision dance team instruction in over 150 Midwest communities and hope to continue to grow. By enrolling your son or daughter in Blaine’s Just for Kix dance classes you will be exposing them to quality dance instruction in a nurturing and culturally rich environment. There they will study and participate in various styles of dance including jazz/lyrical and high kick. Group lessons in Blaine provide young dancers with the ability to learn and perfect new techniques while they create everlasting friendships with likeminded peers. Individuals who take part in team dance activities will develop remarkable socialization skills; achieve a heightened sense of confidence and self esteem, and learn key components in maintaining a healthy and physically fit lifestyle. These life lessons, among others, will benefit your child well into adulthood.  

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR - Trina Develice:  Trina is a graduate of Anoka High School and was a member of the Anoka Twisters Dance Team.  She danced at the Dance Shoppe Studio for 10 years before becoming a member of her high school dance team.  Trina has an Elementary Education degree from the University of Minnesota.  She currently is the Blaine Just For Kix Director and will be going into her 7th year of teaching dance with Just For Kix.  Trina coached at Anoka High School for 2 years and will be starting her 8^th year as head coach of the Blaine High School Dance Team - The Bengalettes.  She is a judge for the Anoka-Hennepin District Middle School Dance Team Competitions.  In 2005 Coach Develice was featured in ‘Dance Spirit’ magazine.  Trina is married to Tom who is a teacher and coach at Blaine High School.  They have two boys Connor (4) and Devin (3).

“My goal for this program is to help prepare dancers for high school dance team as well as teach them to develop goals and accomplish them through teamwork, while also developing self-confidence and learning to perform in a fun atmosphere!”

REGISTRATION INFORMATION: We are now taking registrations for the 2008-2009 dance season. Dancers can register anytime throughout the season!
