  Just For Kix is a program of precision dance team instruction that allows young people to experience the fun & rewards of dancing with a team. Along with dance skills & many dance styles, dancers learn cooperation, perseverance & teamwork. There are no auditions for classes, which run once a week. • STYLE OF DANCE
  Just For Kix focuses on precision dance in our core classes. Precision dance is a mixture of different styles of dance put together: ballet, jazz, kickline, funk, hip-hop, pom, novelty, etcetera. All choreography is age-appropriate. The difference is that our classes are classified as TEAMS and we focus on doing our movements in sync with each other - being precise on our beats, timing and technique. Our choreography is challenging and fun, which helps kids learn valuable dance technique and skills without even knowing it! Being on teams helps the kids understand teamwork, encouraging others, cooperation and perseverance. We have found that kids are learning valuable life skills while learning dance.Within the last few years, Just For Kix has expanded to offer separate jazz classes for those dancers wanting to take a dance class more than once per week. This jazz class is secondary - meaning that a core “Kix” class must be taken as well. The jazz skills a dancer learns at the kix class will be developed further in the jazz class. Class Offerings:

*Jazz Classes:

Within the last few years, Just For Kix has expanded to offer separate jazz classes for those dancers wanting to take a dance class more than once per week. This jazz class is secondary - meaning that a Core Kix class must be taken as well.Our Core classes by definition are the fundamentals. It is in the core classes that the students learn the basics that will be required to move further in our other class offerings. Our jazz classes are the next step. We expect the dancers taking these classes to already have an understanding of the basics. We do not want these classes to be a repeat of the fundamentals but rather a continuation for dancers who wish to take their dancing to the next level. By making the core classes a requirement, it assures the dancers in these classes are dedicated as they have made a commitment to additional studio time. This allows the instructors the ability to move along at a more rapid pace, knowing that what they are teaching is being reinforced in classes offered at least one other hour per week. The increase in dance time, allows the dancer to further their flexibility and strength which is necessary to master more difficult skills.

Class Tuition:

• The cost of class is $28.00 per month, except for Teeny Kix andTiny Kix which is $25.00.

Uniform Info:

We strive to keep the Just For Kix program affordable. We guarantee uniforms will be used for one year for each class. In some cases we keep them for 2-3 years. Uniforms cannot be ordered until full payment is issued. Uniforms take approximately 8-10 weeks to arrive, so it is very important to order your uniform by the second week of class. All uniforms that have not been worn may be exchanged or refunded. Tights may NOT be exchanged once the package has been opened due to a state law.

• Used Uniform List: If used uniforms are available for your class, a list will be available at registration and the first night of class. Please call the parent to arrange delivery and negotiate the cost. Keep in mind that you may still need to purchase accessories for the uniform. Check with the parent to see what is all included.
