Just For Kix Dance:

Here at Just for Kix we feel that it’s important for young dancers to interact and learn as a team. Team based dance provides new and existing dancers with an opportunity to have fun while learning and growing as a group. We offer precision dance team instruction in over 150 Midwest communities and hope to continue to grow. By enrolling your son or daughter in Becker’s Just for Kix dance classes you will be exposing them to quality dance instruction in a nurturing and culturally rich environment. There they will study and participate in various styles of dance including jazz, ballet, and tap. Group lessons in Becker provide young dancers with the ability to learn and perfect new techniques while they create everlasting friendships with likeminded peers. Individuals who take part in team dance activities will develop remarkable socialization skills; achieve a heightened sense of self esteem, and learn key components in maintaining a healthy and physically fit lifestyle. These life lessons, among others, will benefit your child well into adulthood.

From the Director:

My name is Jess Karsch and I am very excited to be the new director of the Becker Just For Kix program!  I starting dancing as a kindergartener and was enrolled in Just For Kix for 14 years.  I have been teaching for JFK for the past 4 years.  I have been head instructing my own classes for 3 years, teaching kick, jazz, hip hop, and a variety of other special session dance classes.  In addition to the Becker program, I am the director of the Paynesville Just For Kix program and teach in the Albany and program as well. 

PHILOSOPHY: Our philosophy has always been to treat dancers, as we would want our own children to be treated. We want our studio to be a place where dancers feel valued and cherished. Our goal is to instill confidence and self-esteem, while helping them stay active.

TECHNIQUE and BASICS: Parents are amazed by how detail oriented JFK is. Basic placement and technique is a major focus. We work on creating good habits in the younger dancers, to prevent bad habits from developing. Cindy’s philosophy is TAKE CARE OF THE LITTLE THINGS and BIG THINGS WILL HAPPEN. (Possibly why the high school team she coaches has won 8 state championships as well as National Championship.) Instruction is VERY hands on and focused.

FLEXIBIBILITY and STRENGTH is focused on too! They are 2 key factors in a great dancer. Classes available for strength and flexibility. Challenging dancers to advance and progress to their top potential.

CHOREOGRAPHY: Our choreography is what built our business. It is creative and innovative.

DID WE MENTION FUN??? That is the NUMBER ONE ingredient. Our classes are fast paced and fun. We have great music and great instructors.

MORE INFO:
1. Perform multiple times per season at large-scale events.
2. Older classes compete in a “low pressure” environment. (4th grade and up)
3. Costumes/uniforms are reasonably priced. Kick classes use them for 2 years. Many times because of the JFK network your used uniform can be sold to dancers in other communities.
4. Organized. We get it done! Class time is maximized so every minute is utilized.
5. Start on time and end on time.
