Just For Kix Dance:

Here at Just for Kix we feel that it’s important for young dancers to interact and learn as a team. Team based dance provides new and existing dancers with an opportunity to have fun while learning and growing as a group. We offer precision dance team instruction in over 150 Midwest communities and hope to continue to grow. By enrolling your son or daughter in Ankeny’s Just for Kix dance classes you will be exposing them to quality dance instruction in a nurturing and culturally rich environment. There they will study and participate in various styles of dance including jazz, ballet, and tap. Group lessons in Ankeny provide young dancers with the ability to learn and perfect new techniques while they create everlasting friendships with likeminded peers. Individuals who take part in team dance activities will develop remarkable socialization skills; achieve a heightened sense of self esteem, and learn key components in maintaining a healthy and physically fit lifestyle. These life lessons, among others, will benefit your child well into adulthood.

From the Director:

Welcome to the Ankeny Just For Kix website !! I’m Traci Kuehl, and this is my third year as Director of the Ankeny “Just For Kix” program. I’ve had over 12 years of dance/drillteam experience, and I’m so glad to be able to offer this program in Ankeny. I was a member of the Sioux City North High School drillteam for four years, and was chosen as Co-Captain my junior and senior years. After graduating from college I became a coach of the Newton High School drillteam, “The Pacesetters”. I was a coach for“The Pacesetters” for 2 years, and we placed in the state drillteam contest both years.
