Just For Kix Dance:

Here at Just for Kix we feel that it’s important for young dancers to interact and learn as a team. Team based dance provides new and existing dancers with an opportunity to have fun while learning and growing as a group. We offer precision dance team instruction in over 150 Midwest communities and hope to continue to grow. By enrolling your son or daughter in Albany/Avon’s Just for Kix dance classes you will be exposing them to quality dance instruction in a nurturing and culturally rich environment. There they will study and participate in various styles of dance including jazz, ballet, and tap. Group lessons in Albany/Avon provide young dancers with the ability to learn and perfect new techniques while they create everlasting friendships with likeminded peers. Individuals who take part in team dance activities will develop remarkable socialization skills; achieve a heightened sense of self esteem, and learn key components in maintaining a healthy and physically fit lifestyle. These life lessons, among others, will benefit your child well into adulthood.

Welcome to the Albany/Avon Just For Kix website!

Just For Kix is a program of precision dance team instruction that allows young people to experience the fun and rewards of dancing with a team. Along with dance skills and many dance styles, dancers learn cooperation, perserverance, and team work.  JFK encompasses dancers from age 3 through adult. JFK classes meet once a week September through April. We hold 32 classes in the season. Our performances begin in December. Each dancer will perform 6 times (or more). Performances include football and basketball games, nursing homes, high school dance shows, as well as our own dance shows (winter show, community show and spring show).

Programs focus on team work and self-esteem. Our motto is “Doing your best is more important than being the best!” There are no auditions for classes. JFK welcomes novice as well as experienced dancers. Dancers are divided up by their age group to allow for maximum confidence and self-esteem. Just For Kix is the answer to an “all around” quality dance experience.

Director of the program is Lea’ Frank. This is Lea’s eleventh season as a JFK director and sixth with the Albany/Avon program. Lea’ was a JFK dancer from 2nd-9th grade, and then danced for the Brainerd Kixters in high school. Her JFK instrutor and high school dance coach was dance icon Cindy Clough, owner and founder of Just For Kix. Lea’ began working for JFK in college. She recently attended the Just For Kix Directors Convention in Brainerd, MN where she received 2007 Director Of The Year.
